Family Tree

Last year Ricky's parents gave him a tree for his Birthday for our front yard. Last week we finally went and got one (almost a year later). The hold up was we don't exactly have a vehicle that we can just bring a tree home in and Ricky was also unsure how much his parents were wanting to spend on a tree. So, Ricky and I were at Home Depot just looking around and found a tree that we liked and we decided that we would just rent one of Home Depots trucks and get the tree we liked. So, we now have a cute little tree in our front yard. Here are some pics from the planting of the tree:

Look at that amazing circle!!

Update on the belly bump

I have had several people this pregnancy that have doubted my honesty. For example, I was at the doctor's last week, and a nurse even asked me if I was really as far along as I claimed I am. She was only joking, but she said it was amazing that I wasn't showing yet. I promise that I am really pregnant and that I am 20 weeks along. Tomorrow we find out if were having a boy or girl and we are so excited to find out who is joining our little family. Either way I will be just as excited. But personally... I think it is a boy. Vote on what you think it is.

President's Weekend

For President's weekend, we went and visited our good friends, the Warnick's, which live near Houston. The Warnick's are moving up to the Dallas area in two weeks and we wanted to come and visit them one last time before they moved. Were really excited that we will be living closer to them now. During our visit there, we were able to go to Galveston and check out the aftermath of the Hurricane 5 months ago. It was amazing how quickly everyone was able to clean up the mess. There were some parts that were worse then others. For the most part, everything was back to normal. Here are a few of the pics that we took near the beach.

(Note: Do you notice anything in common in these pictures? Yeah... that would be the part where Brooklyn never looks at the camera. It is impossible to get that girl to look at the camera!!! It's so frustrating!!)

Does this look familiar?

To all those parents out there... this is a common image of how our kids look when their teething. Poor Brooklyn has all four of her fang teeth coming in at the same time. She has been waking up in the middle of the night, she's a little whinier then usual, and is constantly chewing on her poor fingers. I wish those teeth would just break through already. Brooklyn's New Hair Do

Brooklyn finally got a haircut. Ricky and I have been debating for months on what to do with it. It was getting so long and pretty but it was very difficult to do since it was so fine. Thursday I had enough of fighting her to sit still while I did her hair and figured it's time to get it cut and that's just what we did. It's a little shorter then I would have liked, but it will grow. Here are some pictures of the end result.

Brooklyn turns TWO!!!

Brooklyn turned Two-years-old this past Tuesday. I can't hardly believe that my little girl is growing up so fast. She is such a sweet girl that is very curious about everything. We were able to throw her a little birthday party with all her friends from Nursery. Here are a few of the pics we took.
