Back Home for Now

The last two months have been really busy. We've been traveling a lot and have had a lot to do these days. We started out our traveling when we flew to Salt Lake City for my sister-in-law, Tatia's Wedding. She looked so beautiful and we're glad that we were able to be there for her and Jake's big day.

We got home from Utah on a Monday and then that Friday, Brooklyn and I took off to go home to California. It was a lot of fun and were glad that we were able to see our family in California.

Now were home and life just seems busy. I've been trying to keep Brooklyn occupied during the day and we've been outside a lot, since that is Brooklyn's favorite place to be.

Brooklyn Singing E-I-E-I-O

Brooklyn loves to sing the song Old McDonald and I finally got this video to upload. Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I do. In case you were wondering, yes Brooklyn is feeding the dog strawberry shortcake too.

Joe Pool Lake

*This Picture reminded me of a picture that was taken of me when I was her age.

*Rare moment when we could capture a big smile while she is looking at the camera.

For those of you that have lived or visited Texas know that there are lots of lakes around. Ricky and I have lived in Mansfield for about two years and we have never been to Joe Pool Lake, which is like five miles away. So we went today to check out one of the parks by us. It was a lot different from what I'm use to, but it was really pretty. Here are a few pictures we took while we were there.

*Family Pic while we were exploring.

* Pic of Ricky and Brooklyn with a view of the Swim area.

*Pic of Brooklyn and I walking around.

*Another pic of flowers in the background.

Missing Ricky!!!

Last week Ricky left for New Jersey for three weeks for training for his new job. Brooklyn and I decided that we would miss him too much at home, so we decided to go to Nana and Papa's in California. Brooklyn and I have had a good time here in California so far. We have gone to the park, visited with family from the bay area and fed some ducks while hiking. Brooklyn really enjoyed hiking and being able to walk where she pleases. I have decided that she wouldn't miss me if she wondered off somewhere and got lost. She is definitely little Miss independence. She also has aquired the taste for rocks and flowers. Our whole little hike Brooklyn would bend over and grab either a rock or a flower to sample before her mean mom took it away. It was quite the little adventure. This past weekend Ricky was able to go to Atlantic City with some people that he is in training with. He said that he had a really great time, but that he misses us and wishes that he was with us instead. We Miss you Ricky!!!

New Hang Out and Sectional

Brooklyn found a new hang out this week. Unfortunately it happens to be in our fireplace. I'm not too excited about her new hang out, but I took a few pics because she looked so cute in there. For those of you that have never seen our fireplace, it's never been used, so it's not as dangerous as it sounds.
A few weeks ago, we were able to purchase a new sectional for our living room. We have had several family members that have asked for pictures, so we figured it would be easier if we just posted the pics on our blog.

My Wild Child

Brooklyn's hair lately, has been out of control. I put clips in her hair, she tears them out, I put a headband on her, she tears it off, etc. Well the other day, I was able to capture a rare moment when her hair looked brushed and cute. I was especially excited that I was able to do pigtails to where all her hair fit.

On Monday we were able to have Ricky's parents and brother Skyler over for dinner. Afterwards, the guys watched the Mavs game while Brooklyn entertained the rest of us by biting her uncle Skyler's big toe. I know it sounds gross, but it was hilarious. Here's some pics from that night.

Walking and Talking

The other day, Brooklyn was talking and walking all over the house and having such a good time dragging around a bag. I thought some of you would enjoy watching her walk and talk in the video.
